I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana. I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern University and A&M College. I am a National Certified Counselor, certified through the National Board for Certified Counselors. I specialize in working with children, adults, families, and groups. I am trained as a Certified Anger Management Specialist II, to provide anger management to individuals and groups. I am also trained as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I assist individuals with developing healthy boundaries and healthy effective coping skills to handle life’s stressors, discover that they have choices, which will empower meaning and purpose in their lives in an empathetic and supportive environment. I use a combination of approaches for counseling, which is based on the client's needs and the nature of the presenting issues. The approaches that I use are psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution- Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and person-centered therapy.
